林そよか Soyoka Hayashi

東京藝術大学音楽学部作曲科卒業、同大学院音楽音響創造分野修了。
卒業時に同声会賞受賞、また大学院修了時に大学院アカンサス音楽受賞。

大学在学中より自身のアレンジとピアノ演奏による『桜ピアノ』でデビューし、
以降、自身のソロアルバム、姉でチェリストの林はるかとのCD『癒しのチェロ』シリーズなど多数のCDを日本コロムビアよりリリース。
最新アルバムは姉・林はるかとの『癒しのチェロ〜ジブリ・ベスト』（2022年2月発売）

作曲家として、芥川賞作家平野啓一郎氏の小説「マチネの終わりに」のタイアップCDに『幸福の硬貨』を、
あいおいニッセイ同和損保ザ・フェニックスホール委嘱作品で『夏空スケッチ』『４つの海の物語』のギター曲を、
世界遺産薬師寺食堂落慶法要記念奉納曲などを作曲。
また藤岡幸夫指揮、関西フィルハーモニー管弦楽団により、
2017年8月『弦楽と打楽器のための”Fantasia”』、
2020年2月『ピアノ協奏曲第１番”Cosmos High”』（ピアノ：小川理子）、2021年改訂版、
2022年8月『Voyage for 34 Strings』（アイリッシュハープ：松岡莉子）、
2024年4月『ヴァイオリン協奏曲”Starburst”』（ヴァイオリン：木嶋真優）が初演された。

また、ヤマハ楽器擬人化プロジェクト「MusiClavies」ドラマCD劇伴を担当したほか、
奈良県立橿原考古学研究所附属博物館イメージ曲作曲、プロオーケストラへの編曲提供、様々なアーティストへの作曲・編曲提供など、作編曲作品多数。

タッキー816みのおFM「はるかとそよかの音楽さんぽ」パーソナリティ、
2018年NHK朝ドラ『半分、青い。』では俳優のピアノ指導を務めるなど、活動は多岐にわたる。

2016〜17年 東京藝術大学COI拠点特任助手。
2021年独学で保育士資格を取得。

ヤマハJOCスタッフ・ジュニア創作研究コース講師として全国各地で講座を行う。
現在、同志社女子大学、相愛大学各非常勤講師。

大阪府箕面市出身、約10年の東京生活を経て現在京都在住。

Graduated from the Composition Department and completed the Master’s program at Tokyo University of the Arts.
Received the “Douseikai Award” upon graduation, and the “Acantus Music Award” upon completing the graduate program.

While still a student, debuted with the piano arrangement album Sakura Piano. Since then, has released numerous CDs under the Nippon Columbia label, including solo albums and the Healing Cello series with her sister, cellist Haruka Hayashi. Her most recent album, Healing Cello: Ghibli Best (released in February 2022), was a collaboration with her sister Haruka.

As a composer, her works include “Happiness Coin” for the CD tie-up with Keiichiro Hirano’s novel “The End of the Matinee” (winner of the Akutagawa Prize), and guitar compositions such as “Summer Sky Sketch” and” Four Sea Stories”, commissioned by Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance’s The Phoenix Hall. She has also composed sacred music for the consecration ceremony of the Kodo Hall at the World Heritage site, Yakushiji Temple.

Her works have been performed by the Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Sachio Fujioka:

-Fantasia for Strings and Percussion (August 2017)
-Piano Concerto No. 1 “Cosmos High” (February 2020, piano: Riko Ogawa)
-Voyage for 34 Strings (August 2022, Irish Harp: Riko Matsuoka)
-Violin Concerto “Starburst” (April 2024, violin: Mayu Kishima).

Additionally, she composed the drama CD soundtrack for Yamaha’s anthropomorphized instrument project “MusiClavies”, as well as the theme music for the Nara Prefectural Kashihara Archaeological Research Institute Museum. She has contributed arrangements for professional orchestras and composed and arranged music for various artists.
